Hire T&Cs


Sound Services offer ‘dry-hire’ of public address sound systems and portable PA for small and medium sized events in and around North East Hampshire.

‘Dry-hires’ are to be collected from us and returned to us on agreed dates and It is the responsibility of the person or organisation hiring the equipment to obtain the necessary PPL, PRS (& MCPS), Ofcom and other required licenses together with any & all necessary liability & other insurance cover

Prices are subject to VAT and are for 24 hour ‘dry-hires’ collected from and returned to our Fleet address. Local delivery, collection and installation services can sometimes be arranged if required. Please call 01252 751272 for longer hires and extra services

Complete mains operated outdoor sound system for fete & sports day etc. includes 2 tripods each with 2 horn speakers, mixer amplifier, wireless microphone and media player input lead from £175.00 including VAT per day

Complete mains operated indoor sound system for meeting, quiz or AGM etc. includes 2 speakers on tripods, mixer amplifier, wireless microphone and media player input lead from £125.00 including VAT per day

Complete mains operated indoor sound system for party, celebration or BBQ etc. includes 2 speakers, mixer amplifier with Bluetooth from £125.00 including VAT per day

Complete mains operated indoor sound system for entertainer, guitarist or pub musician etc. includes 2 speakers, powered mixer, microphone, stand and tripods and media player input lead from £125.00 including VAT per day

Terms and conditions for short term hire of equipment from Sound Hire by Sound Services

  • The person and organisation hiring must obtain all of the required PPL, PRS, MCPS, Ofcom and other licenses – you may need UK licenses for music or to use wireless microphones and in-ear monitoring – Licenses, rules, regulations and information
  • The person and organisation hiring must obtain the required public liability, equipment and other insurance
  • Any 240v AC mains wiring that may be required for the PA sound equipment to operate is to be supplied and installed by qualified others
  • The person and organisation hiring must ensure that the public can not gain access to any generators, power feed cables or fuel storage etc.
  • A 25% booking deposit will be required and this will be deducted from the cost of the hire
  • An equipment deposit may be required – this deposit will be refunded at the end of the hire provided that the equipment is complete, returned on time and in good, undamaged, working order
  • VAT at the current rate will be added to all hires
  • Payment is due on collection or delivery of the hire equipment
  • The safe keeping, correct operation and satisfactory return of the equipment is the responsibility of the person and organisation hiring and signing for the equipment
  • Late returns, equipment damage and loss will be charged for
  • Cancellations of bookings may incur a cancellation fee of 25% + VAT and cancellations with less than 72 hours notice shall incur a cancellation fee of between 50% and 100% + VAT
  • All loudspeakers, tripods and other fittings must be made secure and safe by the person and organisation hiring the equipment
  • These terms are the essence of the Sound Hire contract
